Day 2: Siem Reap – Holy Kulen Mountain (B/L/D); Driving distance of: 60 km on flat country road
Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Kulen Mountain – Located 40km north of Angkor Wat, the Phnom Kulen mountain range provides Siem Reap with water and dominates the skyline of the flat plains surrounding it. Although the highest peak of the mountain range lies at only 487m, Phnom Kulen has much to offer visitors. The Cambodian people regard the site as the birthplace of the ancient Khmer Empire. King Jayavarman II claimed independence from Java there in 802 A.D. Travel in the morning by car through the countryside to Phnom Kulen and start the rather steep climb up by car. On top of the mountain you will visit a modern style pagoda that offers stunning views over the Angkor area. Visit the eight meter tall statue of a reclining Buddha and wash your hands at the Linga statue to purify your mind and body. Continue to visit the River of One Thousand Lingas and the magnificent waterfall close to it. Take a refreshing swim in the stream and pool of the waterfall and enjoy a picnic lunch served in a natural setting. If time allows, take a stroll around the area with your guide and venture off the beaten track to take in the impressive forest and scenery. Tonight you enjoy dinner with local family.

Day 3: Kulen Mountain – Siem Reap (B/L/-D); Local Motocycle driving of 12 km, the jungle road
Breakfast at the home stay, then go with a local motorcycle driver, we will proceed through the jungle to Srah Damrey, Damreay Krab and Ang Prochiev temple. As soon as we complete our visits to these temples of Mahendraparvata, on a nice trail of Kulen mountain. Returned to Siem Reap. On the way back, we stop on the way to visit to the intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei. Along the way we make stopover at the Preah Dark village and we follow these with a visit the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends. Overnight at the hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 4: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake (Mechrey Floating Village) (B/L/D); Local Kayaking of 3 km – Great Lake of Tonle
At 02:00PM pick up from your hotel in Siem Reap and transfer to Tonle Sap Lake (Mechrey Village), it will take 30 minutes driving. On arrival embark on the local boat to cruise to floating village, Monk Blessing in the local pagoda, visit the open lake with local Kayaking and sunset view – dinner and overnight in floating wooden house.

Day 5: Mechrey Floating Village – Prek Taol Village – Bird Watching (B/L/D): Local Motorcycle of 3 km – Great Lake of Tonle Sap
After breakfast in the early morning with local family, today we will be heading out to Prek Taol Village which is about 45 minutes by boat and then we continue by Kayaking to Bird Sanctuary to visit all kind of water birds (More than 100 pieces). Lunch will be provided on the side and return to Prek Toal Village to Kayak through the village, visit daily life and fishing activities.

Day 7: Siem Reap – Angkor Complex (B/L): Biking: 25 km, flat country road
After breakfast we start exploring Angkor Wat by bike. Angkor Wat is one of the biggest religious monuments in the world and represents the Khmer heritage. It’s stunning base relief, massive towers and huge entrance way will simply awe you in every sense. We continue heading to the former capital Angkor Thom (Bayon, Terrace of the Elephants) and Ta Prohm. Ta Prohm is famous for its massive overgrown trees. It was used as set for the movie Tomb Raider. Lunch in local restaurant. In the afternoon, we cycle to Banteay Kdey and explore this massive complex before we head back to Siem Reap for refreshing ourselves and dinner. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 8: Siem Reap – Banteay Srey – Siem Reap (B/L): Biking with 60 km of flat countryside road
After breakfast at the hotel we depart for Banteay Srey. Banteay Srey remains the best preserved temple in Cambodia and offers stunning bass relief and other stone carvings. The temple is only small in size but of huge significance in understanding the Angkorian Era. On the way to Siem Reap we pass Banteay Samre, a miniature Angkor Wat, which is relatively unexplored. The road to these temples passes pretty countryside. From there we cycle through the Angkor Complex back to Siem Reap. Along the way you will be able to enjoy the stunning views of some of the most impressive temples of the Angkor Complex. Overnight in Siem Reap.
