DAY 1: HANOI – MAI CHAU VALLEY.
Meals: Lunch, dinner | Accommodation: Homestay/ Resort in Mai Chau or Mai Hich.
At 8.00 am - departure from your hotel, Mai Chau is about 140 km to the Northwest of Vietnam, taking over 4 hour transfer, including some short breaks on the way for a cup of coffee and photos. Upon your arrival in a viilage of Mai Chau, we'll a delicous local lunch.
After lunch, you can do a hiking or cycling around the green hills letting your guide point out and explain the wonders along the way through some traditional white Thai villages. Then return for dinner and overnight in the stilt house with our friendly Thai hosts.
Note: Your overnight accommodation is provided by a local family in their traditional house-on-silts. There’s no private room and you’ll sleep on the floor in a large communal area. The sleeping corner is set up with a single mattress, blankets, pillow and mosquito net. The restroom is at international standard and a few steps away from the main house.
DAY 2: MAI CHAU VALLEY – PU LUONG NATURE RESERVE.
Meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner | Accommodation: Homestay/ Resort. (we recommend your stay at Pu Luong retreat).
After breakfast , we drive to Pu Luong Nature Reserve, which is about 50 km away from Mai Chau valley. On the way, we stop to do a hiking on single trail through Thai villages and rice terraces with an opportunity to take a break at local houses en-route. Then meet your car on the main road for a short transfer to Pu Luong retreat to enjoy a delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, you can choose to relax at the Pu Luong retreat or take another hiking in nearby villages. The trek is not too hard and lasts about 1.5 - 2 hours depending on your hiking pace and destinations, making the most of impression with many animals en- route, such as; ducks, cow, goats, pigs, chickens, etc.
Note: Do bring along good shoes and batteries for your camera.
DAY 3: PU LUONG – TAM COC ( Ha Long Bay on land).
Meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner | Accommodation: Hotel/ homestay/ resort.
After breakfast, we leave Pu Luong Nature Reserve and head to Tam Coc - Ha Long Bay on land. As we arrive at the destination just the time to drop the luggage and there we go for our little exploration. We suggest that you hop on a bicycle for an easy cycling around the Halong-like sceneries of Tam Coc or cycle to Bich Dong pagoda. Have lunch at a local house.
Later in the afternoon, we get on a sampan rowing by local women and spend 1.5 hours to discover the underground caves and scenic waterways of the area. After the boat trip, return to your accommodation to get ready for your nice dinner.
DAY 4: TAM COC – HALONG BAY OVER NIGHT CRUISE .
Meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner | Accommodation: Over night cruise.
We depart early for an approximate 4.5 hour drive to Halong bay through the Red River Delta. Upon arrival at Ha Long pier, get on board and enjoy a cruising with other tourists. Start cruising to the boundaries of Halong bay while a lunch with fresh seafood is served (vegetarian and kids menus available).
– Option 1: Take a bamboo rowing boat trip around Vung Vieng Fishing Village
– Option 2: Take kayak and go kayaking by yourself with help and instruction of tour guide around the Village.
Return to cruise and have bath then relax as the sun starts to set. Enjoy the Happy Hour at the bar and on the sun deck while cooking demonstration is organizing.
Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests, night squid fishing or just laze around. Singing and dancing activities.
– Overnight on board in a safe and calm water area.
DAY 5: HALONG BAY – HANOI.
Meal: breakfast, lunch | Accommodation; hotel in Hanoi.
Start your day with Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck.
Catch morning view of seascapes with a cup of tea or coffee, have breakfast while cruising.
Check-out room. Luggage can be delivered to the reception area.
Head back to the Harbor. Have early lunch on board and then disembark.
As soon as you disembark, our guide and driver are await for you and transfer back to Hanoi and the trip finishes at the hotel in the late afternoon.
