Around 8:30 am, our guide will pick you up at the hotel, then we go by bicycle to the pier where you board the shuttle to cross the Faifo river for about 15 minutes to the Kim Bong carpentry village. You will listen to the history of the village and activities, visit Mr. Huynh Ri family with a traditional occupation of wood carving, shipbuilding workshop, Can Phuc’s mosaic and other workshops. You also have a chance to learn how to make the traditional wooden boats, try the famous basket boats at Mr. Kha’s workshop that have 85 years, which manufactures cart boats, woven by bamboo and palm trees. Continue riding to Tra Nhieu village, amid the river of Thu Bon, you will listen to the presentation of the history of the war and their activities. The fishermen leave with their nets, boats and prepare their tools for a long ride 2-3 weeks at sea.
Going in to the island via an unusual bridge, which was made of wood and bamboo, take the path along the river, you will see coconut water, fishing nets, and wild birds, then a small pleasant walk on a quiet bamboo bridge in the forest of water coconut trees. Then we visit the mats making.
Go back to the dock, you will board the boat together with other local people and cycle to Van Lang fisherman village and Bay Mau coconut water forest is about 7 hectares, surrounded by mangrove forests, canals, houses covered by water coconut leaves . This place had ever been the refuge for local people and soldiers during the Vietnam Warand. Nowadays, it is very famous for providing most of seafood products.
A home warmly welcome at Mr. Han's family, a three generation family, taste some green tea and stroll through the village. Anglers will take you to discover their techniques of traditional fishery, at coconut forest by a basket boat.
Go back to the family for a relaxing foot massage with medicinal herbs, traditional therapeutic practice and preparing lunch together his family with dishes, such as; crispy pancakes, Hoi An Nem, then.you will taste your own dishes you've just prepared.
After lunch, take a rest before heading back to your hotel in Hoi An.
