At 8:00 - 8:30 am, our guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel in Hoi An town to drive to Cam Thanh village. On the way, you will make some stops, such as; Ba Le local market, rice fields, cemetery, school to discover the local daily life and you also have a chance to take plenty of photos. Upon reaching Cam Thanh village, you are welcomed by a family on the edge of the river. From here, you will join a basket boat trip to learn their traditional fishing techniques within the water coconut forest.
Then we go biking through rice fields on peaceful paths, well away from the tourist trails, you will arrive at Tra Que vegetable village. At Tra Que village, you will be warmly greeted by Mr.Minh family, 3 generations live in the same house, a welcome drink of "basil juice" will be offered, stroll through the village to meet local people who are working in the garden. The local farmers will teach you all about cultivation methods and how to protect the vegetable from developing insects, at the same time, you can join the farmers in preparing gardening works, such as; raking the ground, sowing, watering the greens, transplanting and tending the greens.
After that, you will learn how to make “Tam Huu” spring roll, “Xeo” pancake, your lunch will consist of many local delicacies including “Tam Huu” spring roll, “Banh Xeo” or local pancake of people in the Centre of Viet Nam. After lunch, enjoy a foot bath with medicinal herbs, traditional therapeutic practice, take a rest before returning to your hotel in Hoi An.
