WORLD'S LONGEST 632 METRE BUILT ON MOC CHAU HIGHLAND IN NORTHERN PROVINCE OF SON LA.

A 632-meter-long glass bridge in northern highlands town Moc Chau, said to be the world's longest, is scheduled to open to tourists during the Reunification Day (April 30) holiday.
Work on the bridge, namely Bach Long in Moc Chau Island Tourist Area in Son La Province, around 200 kilometers from Hanoi, is nearly complete, Voice of Vietnam reported.

The launching of the bridge is expected to be one of the province's most important tourism highlights.

The relative height between the bridge deck and the ground is about 150 meters.

The bridge's deck is made of super tempered glass produced by leading French company Saint Gobain, including three layers of 40 millimeters thick.
Hoang Manh Duy, a representative of Moc Chau Island Tourist Area, said when it is opened, only 500 people will be allowed to walk on the bridge at a time to ensure safety.

The tourist area is completing procedures to seek Guinness world record recognition as the world’s longest glass bridge.

Currently, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon in western Hunan Province of China is home to the world's longest and highest glass bridge, which is about 430 meters long.
